Royce, who recently collaborated with Pepsi by performing at a pre-Super Bowl three-day celebration in New York’s Bryant Park , is working on an English language album.
“I think people are going to be surprised with my English album, it’s popping, it has a flare of Spanish and a flare of Latin,” said Royce in a recent interview with a Hispanic media outlet. ”I think it’s going to be something that hasn’t been done in a long time. It’s a whole other side of Prince Royce. We’ll come out with the R&B, some pop, the dance, the tropical, all in one.”
Royce thinks his upcoming album will be fun and feature a perfect mixture of the music he grew up listening to.
Prince Royce’s singles on point
Royce’s single “Darte un Beso” is being played by radio stations from California to New York ,and the video has garnered 150 million views. “Te Robare” is expected to take on the same following.
“My next single is called ‘Te Robaré,’ and actually the video is something different, something more mysterious,” said Royce. ”It’s a little different from all my past videos, I’m also a coach on ‘La Voz Kids’ which is a Spanish version of ‘The Voice’ with kids, so I’m having a lot of fun with that. I’m working on a new tour, working with Pepsi, so a lot of good things coming this year.”
While Royce may have his hands full balancing his upcoming musical projects–and his position as a judge on Telemundo’s ‘La Voz Kids’ alongside other celebrity judges like Paulina Rubio– he always keeps his focus on his music.
When asked if he would go to the Super Bowl he said that although he originally planned to go to the sporting event he decided his time was better spent in the studio.
“I was actually gonna go to the Super Bowl but things changed. I just ended up going to the studio,” he said. ”I have a lot of work coming up. It’s either the studio or the Super Bowl, but then if I go to the Super Bowl, I’m gonna have to postpone the studio for another three months so I decided to watch the game from the studio.”
